The new framework will be led by the UAE's Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who will serve as vice-chairman. The Secretary-General of the UAE Cabinet, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been appointed chairman. The organization also includes: Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mansoori, Dr. Sultan Al-Jaber, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Zaabi, Humaid Obaid Al-Tayer, Dr. Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Bannai, Ahmed Al-Kutta, and Penny Poon.

The initiative was launched to advance regulation, innovation, and the development of strategies in the field of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies within the Abu Dhabi ecosystem. This initiative is linked to the Abu Dhabi Strategy for the 2025-2027 period, which aims to position the emirate as a global hub for the full adoption of AI-oriented administrative systems by 2027. The program's implementation includes significant investments in the transformation of the government sector and the development of a digital ecosystem.

The initiative actively promotes financial, investment, and scientific research programs in partnership with local and international organizations. This is done through the long-term vision of the leadership and through specific strategic frameworks for the development of the domestic and international intelligence and advanced technology sectors.

"The initiative aims to manage investments and research in partnership with the private sector, supporting the vision of the wise leadership and strengthening the pillars of the UAE's position as a global hub for artificial intelligence and advanced technology," the statement concluded.
